DIANA BLOOMFIELD: HUGE RECOGNITION FOR PINHOLE PHOTOGRAPHY

Diana Bloomfield has taken the ancient process of pinhole photography as her unique source for creating magical pictures. She delights in the very uncertainties inherent in this method. The resulting soft elegant images, personal and compelling, are signatures of her craft. The landscape of the Southeast, Figures and sculpture, the streets of New York are among many subjects captured by this artist's camera. View available photographs by clicking HERE.

DIANA BLOOMFIELD: VINTAGE PROCESSES

Along with the use of a pinhole camera, Bloomfield prefers platinum/palladium prints for her singular images and creates these in her studio on fine archival paper. Some photos are toned with additional exposures using gum or cyanotype. One of the benefits of this printing medium is the quality, rich tonalities and a very stable, permanent finish to the photograph, even when exposed to bright light.

DIANA BLOOMFIELD: ARTIST, STUDENT, TEACHER
