Parking:

There is metered street parking throughout the downtown area as well as numerous parking decks. The closest deck is Wilmington Street Station (see map) located directly behind the gallery and accessed from either Wilmington Street or Blount Street.

Parking Validation:

If you park in the Wilmington Street Station deck, we can validate your parking - just bring in your time card when you visit the gallery.

Downtown Transportation:

Get around downtown on the free R-line bus which has two stops conveniently near the gallery - R16 on Wilmington Street (before 6:30pm) and R19 on East Hargett Street (after 6:30pm).

From the West (Chapel Hill, Durham, RDU Airport)

• Take I-40 East to Exit - Wade Avenue
• Take Wade Avenue to Capital Blvd.
• RIGHT on Capital Boulevard
• LEFT on Hargett Street
• The gallery is 3-1/2 blocks on the LEFT

From the South/East (Wilson, Benson, Wilmington)

• Take I-440 towards Durham
• Take exit 299 - Hammond Road downtown
• Hammond Road becomes Person Street
• LEFT on Hargett Street
• The gallery is 1-1/2 blocks on the RIGHT

From the North (North Raleigh, Wake Forest)

• Take HWY 1 South/ Capital Boulevard
• RIGHT on Capital Boulevard
• LEFT on Hargett Street
• The gallery is 3-1/2 blocks on the LEFT
